12 YEARS OLD APRIL 3rd, 2039 FEMALE | ANH NEUTRAL ANHNYQUEG | |
AYAMA CIFER |
★APPEARANCE
Ayama stands at a height of 4,8" feet, and weighs at least 80 pounds. Sharing most of her species characteristics, Ayama pertains a slim figure with creamy white skin and elvish ears. She has choppy, tawny, white hair and bright orange colored eyes. She wears a rather simple garment; a sleeveless, black hood with white flames around the neck piece. Plain black shorts, with knee high black combat boots that have white ribbons cris-crossing up in front serving as shoe-laces.
Attached to her, is a vertebrae tail that she made herself. There is no real reason for why she decided to make it, except for that it "looked cool." It is assumed that the tail reacts to Ayama's emotions, as it tends to move happily around when she is, and sadly when she is sad. How it’s able to do this has not be demonstrated yet. She hopes to someday make it real.
★ PERSONALITY
Ayama is a complicated person to understand. She has a somewhat stoic and introverted personality, preferring simple body language rather than speaking. When prompted to speak, she does so in a very concise manner, saying no more than ten words. Though there is a reason to why she stays mute most of the time, due to a certain incident Ayama has decided to not speak and instead uses her emotions to announce how she's feeling to everyone around her. She is intelligent, logical, and rational, though this is not always a good thing. Because of this she tends to be rather rude towards adult figures (with the exception of two), and tends to say back stabbing comments to those she finds untrustworthy. Which brings up another thing. Ayama has major trust issues due to some problems she has faced in her past, and will never openly lays out what she's thinking even to her friends. Though generally laid-back, and civil, she can also come across as detached and downright threatening when she wants to. But only when she is extremely pissed off.
(Note: In spite of her indifferent nature, Ayama is still a child and therefore is just as innocent as any other kid. Though hiding behind a confident look, she is deep down inside a lonely girl...who just wants to be accepted by someone, since her parents wouldn't do so.)
★ FAMILY
★ HISTORY
Ayama ever since she could remember was always depicted "weird" or "strange," as a young Anh growing up. It was her eyes. They were an unusual color and because of that she was considered a bad omen to the rest of the community. Others would stay far from her, fearing that if they drew too near that her gaze would turn them into ash. Even her parents were frightened by her strange manner, and never showed her any signs of love or compassion.
It's not hard, being alone, at some point after awhile you get used to the silence. However, there was always one person that would break that silence. Her younger sister, Alexa. With a smile on her face, Alexa followed Ayama everywhere she went. Just like a stray dog. And although Ayama repeatedly would tell her to stay away, Alexa would ignore her and continued to stay in the company of her big sister. This become unsettling to Ayama, as she feared that with her younger sister being seen around her the others would treat her just as poorly as herself. This proved to be true, as kids who found it fun to push Ayama around began to do the same to Alexa. Except instead of taking it like Ayama always did, Alexa would stand up for herself. She would protect her older sister from the vicious words that the other Anhs spat at her and always defended her when their parents began to abuse Ayama for dishonoring the family. This made Ayama feel horrible. An older sister should be the one to take care of her younger sister, not the other way around.
One day, when drawing outside near the playground with Alexa a group of kid’s approached them. They made nasty remarks at Ayama, calling her a witch and making ridiculous noises so to spite her. This became a usual routine for Ayama, and so instead of getting upset she simply ignored them and continued to draw with Alexa. If only Alexa could let it go just as easily. Just as the words escaped the kids lips, Alexa jumped up and began speaking up on behalf of her big sister. Ayama looked up at her, she tried to make her stop but once Alexa started there was no way of stopping her. She commented how rude the kids were and said that they should be ashamed of themselves for just thinking so poorly of Ayama.
"Alexa, please, stop." Tired of listening to Alexa lecture them, one of the kids picked up a rock and shouting "Freak Lover!" Threw it right at Alexa's head. Alexa feel down, there was blood. At that moment, for the first time, Ayama lost herself. Everything happened so quickly, she had no idea what she was doing. The next thing she knew, she heard the kid that threw a rock at Alexa scream in pain. Ayama looked, he was curled up on the ground crying, his arm covered with burnt marks. He kept screaming, "It hurts! My arm it hurts!" It was as if someone had casted a spell over him. Then the others pointed at Ayama in fright and shouted, "It was her! She did it! And without any incantation! Get out of here! Witch! Weirdo! FREAK!"
Ayama looked back dumbfounded, she had no idea of what they were talking about. She felt angry....was it possible that she had somehow released that anger onto the kid? She looked at Alexa with a horrified expression on her face, and feeling guilty for what she had done ran away from the scene. She did not return home until later that night when her parents were asleep, there was strict curfew after all and if she were to be seen...she would gain a couple extra scars. But none of that mattered now, Ayama knew that she could no longer stay there. For years she knew she was different...and now with this new ability in the equation...it just made matters worst. She had to leave, she had to! Staying would only cause pain to her sister and what she ended up hurting her? She couldn't stand even thinking about that. No. She had to leave. And as she was packing her bag, she felt a small pair of eyes watching her. She turned and there right behind her was Alexa. The younger sister begged Ayama to take her with her, but Ayama refused and said "This is where we go our separate ways."
Before leaving however, she gave Alexa a small token to remember her by. One of her favorite necklaces, a Silver Star pendant on a simple chain. She assured Alexa that they would one day meet again and that when they did, that she would no longer be a freak. She then left through the window and traveled to the main city in Anhnyqueg. There Ayama learned to leave on the streets, she stayed out of sight and stole food only when she needed too. She even became more aware of her abilities and even learned that unlike other Anhs she could use the force! It has been two long years, and as she runs from an angry baker with a loaf of bread in her hands, by turning the corner she has no idea that her whole life is about to change.

POWER
EMPATHY
An ability she had ever since she was born, Ayama can read and mirror the feelings of others without reading apparent symptoms, allowing her to understand introverts or discover one emotion is actually hiding another. She can then attack someone in a personal and emotional way since she knows exactly what emotion it is that's flowing through themselves and can use this knowledge to play against them.
- Empathetic Control-- With this, Ayama is able to control the current area she is in with her emotions. The stronger the emotion, the more control she has over the environment.
- Clairaudience -- Ayama has the ability to not only feel emotions, but also "hear" the heightened thoughts associated with that specific emotions. This is probably do to the fact that both cortex’s (emotional, and mental) so closely relate with one another. This is not to be confused with Telepathy. Ayama can only get visionary "echoes" related to certain emotions. She cannot read full memories. An example would be if she senses two spouses aiming a lot of hatred towards one another. She might then get the echo of thought along with that emotion e.g. "I can’t believe he’s cheating on me after all these years".
- Empathic Healing -- An interesting ability, Ayama when "healing" wounds that are physical cannot heal the actual injury. She simply takes the pain into herself so the victim no longer feels that pain. This can cause her to become weak or even on the point of death depending how major the wound is.
- Lie Detection -- She can tell when you're lying and figure out the truth.
- Psychic Navigation -- Ayama can sense a person by the emotional wavelength they give off or "empathic scent" and can trace them to where they are. AT her level though she can only sense those that are close by and not long ranges. She can also use this ability to make a mental map of the area around her so that she doesn't get lost.
- Psychometry -- There are some places that have constant emotional residue(due to major events happening in that location war, death, historical moments etc.). Ayama can tap into these emotional imprints and re-experience those emotions as if they were happening in that moment. At times she can even see the emotional echoes (images/residual ghosts) that are still there. This however takes a lot of concentrated emotional energy.
- Telempathy -- Ayama cannot only sense others emotions, but can also send her own emotions to others. She uses this as a way of communication and does so by sending "echoes" (i.e.: quick glimpse) of images telepathically to others.
